Exercise that will minimize joint impact

Sometimes it can be hard to find cardio exercises that won't hurt your joints. Running outside and doing other cardio exercises can be really hard on your knees and hips. Here we will talk about some exercises that won't hurt your body and are very easy on your joints.

Elliptical. If you want to run but are afraid of hurting your joints, running on the elliptical can be the solution for you. You could buy an elliptical for your house, or get a gym membership to use the ellipticals that they have. Twenty to 30 minutes a day on the elliptical can be just enough to give you a great workout without hurting your joints.

Swimming. Swimming is one of the best exercises that you can do if you are trying to be easy on your joints but still get a good workout. What's more, swimming is easy enough on your body that you can do it your entire life! Getting a membership at your local pool is a great way to get access to a body of water where you can swim.

Golf. Golfing is a great way to get outside, and is a sport that a person can do for their entire life. Working on your golf swing can be hard on your back, but it should be easy on the rest of your body. Golfing is a great way to get a good walk in, as well, since you will be walking on the fairway to get your ball (as long as you don't use a golf cart!).

Stationary bike. A stationary bike is really easy on your joints. Unlike a normal outdoor bike, you won't experience a change in terrain, so bumps from the road that might throw your joints off won't exist. Jump on an exercise bike and try working out on one today.

One important thing to remember is that it's a good idea to switch up our workout so that you aren't doing the same workout over and over again. This will put extra stress on the joints that you use during one workout and not so much during another. For example, you could run on the elliptical one day and go swimming the other day, then switch back.
